Happy Happy Sugar Pea Bear

I had such fun making this card for the Sugar Pea Designs sketch challenge until...

I couldn't find the second half of the Happy Birthday stamp from my Prehistoric Pals set!

I had cut it in half when I first got the set so I could stack it, and I've LOST IT!!
** SIGH**

Sooooo.... since necessity is the mother of invention, I stacked my "Happy" and used the word "birthday" from one of the sentiments in An Ice Day. : )  The image is from Everyday is Christmas.

Sepia Thanks

Hello again!

Today I'm playing along with the Share Joy challenge as well as celebrating The Card Concept's second birthday.  They have such a pretty picture to draw inspiration from!  I used the basic sketch from Share Joy and pulled the colors, script and rhinestones from the Card Concept photo.

Can you believe that I still have that Script background in my stash?  It was one of the first SU sets I got years and years ago.  I just ran and checked.  It's dated 1999!! :)  I combined that with the new Wildflower Bouquet set from Taylored Expressions.  I stamped the bouquet on Sand cardstock from Gina K and colored it with Spectrum Noir colored pencils, trying to aim for a sepia look.  I hope to send it out to a GraceWorks customer later this week.

Poor in Spirit

I just got one of the beautiful new Scripture sets from The Stamp Simply Ribbon store called  Blessings / Beatitudes I.  Aren't those fonts pretty??  I've seen others that can make gorgeous cards with just a sentiment, but I always seem to want to add a picture of some sort, so, since I was following the Sugar Pea Designs Sketch, I decided to add in this sweet and gentle swan from the Everyday is Christmas set.  She is sooo pretty and I love how she adds to the softness of the card.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Bashful Bunny Greetings

I needed to make one more Easter card today, and when I found this sweet bunny (retired from The Angel Company, but available in digi form HERE at PIckled Potpourri...), I jumped at the chance to use him. : )  The sentiment, flower and egg are from a retired Verve set.  I followed this week's sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches, and I'm also linking my clean and layered card up with The Card Concept.

Soft and Sweet

Isn't this just the sweetest bunny??  I found the digi at Elena's Etsy shoppe after seeing it on someone's blog.  {{Love}}.  I colored my digi with copics and layered it on a few pieces of My Mind's Eye patterned paper before adding a twine bow and a couple of enamel dots.

I'm playing along with the following challenges...

Share Joy... bunny, flowers, twine - and it will be given to one of my daughter's on Easter. :)

Paper Players - CAS, Spring

TicTacToe #6 - Critters, CAS, Celebrate

Your Next Stamp Snowman

You know that you have a favorite stamp set when you can make card after card after card with it and think every time - "I love this set!"  My Hot Cocoa Phoebe set from Your Next Stamp is like that!!  I used this week's YNS sketch - and sort of the colors, too - to add another card to my winter pile.  I colored up the sweet snowman from Hot Cocoa Phoebe and layered it onto some pretty Christmas paper from Wild Rose Studio.  The fun stitched accent at the end is the stitching die from Your Next Stamp.

Let's Get Together

Hi everyone!

I'm joining in with the Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop today with a card featuring the retired
Sip and Savor set by Verve...

I pulled together some fun patterned papers from my stash that reminded me of an outdoor table at a Paris Starbucks (is there such a thing?) and let this week's Viva La Verve sketch inspire my layout.

Thanks for dropping in! Now back to hopping!! :)

God is Able

Hello friends!

My card today is for all of you who are hurting as we approach Holy Week and the celebration of Christ's resurrection.  God is Able!!  Able to keep us from falling -- Able to save us to the uttermost -- Able to heal -- Able to forgive.  Praise His Holy Name!!  My sketch today is from Viva La Verve's first sketch of the month and the stamps are all from Verve.  Have a blessed day!

You Warm My Heart

I'm taking a break from spring stamping today, because the sketch over at Sugar Pea Designs is perfect for this penguin from the Have an Ice Day set...

My sweet penguin and his fishy friend are watercolored with Distress Markers, cut with dies from Your Next Stamp and MFT and layered on a piece of Christmas-y patterned paper by BoBunny.

After the Rain

We just had a nice rain shower come through here... right as the children were all coming home from school... but now it's sunny and the raindrops are sparkling.  I wonder if there is a rainbow??  Speaking of which, I'm playing along in a rainbow challenge or two today with my card!

The TCP Tuesday challenge this week is to use a bunny on your card - and what goes better with a bunny carrying an umbrella than a rainbow??  I drew/watercolored my rainbow in with distress markers, and then watercolored and cut out my bunny from TCP's Rise and Shine set.  I attached the bunny with 3D foam and added a sentiment is from Strange and Wonderful.

I had a couple of RAINBOW challenges in mind when I made the card...

The Triceratops

Sugar Pea Designs is having a special birthday celebration and I'm sneaking in under the wire with this birthday card made with the Prehistoric Pals set, so I can join in, too.  Although I must admit that I'd rather win a gift certificate to Sugar Pea than the Mini Minc.  Strange, I know!  But if YOU want to win a Mini Minc, be sure to play along!  I think you have one more day to make a card!

I used the sketch from The Challenge #63.  It worked perfectly with this CAS design!!

Ellie Loves Lattes

Your Next Stamp has a sweet sketch this week and Cupcake Inspirations had sweet colors, so I combined them to make this card using YNS sets Ellie Loves Lattes and Hot Cocoa Phoebe.  I colored the image with copics and added white gel pen accents.

Possible

Hi again!

I played along with the new sketch over at the Sugar Pea Designs blog today!  It had a circle element which looked like it would be perfect for this swan from Everyday is Christmas.  I paired it with a sentiment from Verve and the patterned paper is just scraps from my stash.

Thanks so much for dropping by!

Sweet Friend

Hello again!  Just catching up on a couple challenges!!

Have you been playing along with the sketch challenges over at Sugar Pea Designs?  This card is for the first March challenge.  I used the "Everyday is Christmas" set because I wanted to color up this chubby little partridge.  Isn't it fun that a Christmas set can be used year round?!  I paper pieced the wing to pull together all the patterned paper in the background and made a little sun to ground my image.  Sentiment is from MFT.

I'm also entering this in the Paper Players challenge:  Rain or Shine.

Just Because

Hi everyone!

I pulled out an old favorite to play along with the Spring Challenge at The Cat's Pajamas.  I just love that sweet penguin from the Strange and Wonderful set, don't you?  And that gorgeous sentiment is from the Simply Stacked Sentiments set.  I colored my image with Spectrum Noir markers and used a bit of patterned paper from my stash.

Birthday Wishes

Hello again!

I have a pastel-ish card for this week's Share Joy challenge following the sketch and since the Love to Scrap Challenge blog was having a Birthday theme this week, I made a birthday card for a friend.

I watercolored the WildFlower bouquet from Taylored Expressions for the image and the sentiment is from a retired Flourishes set.  The paper is Simple Stories Enchanted.

Sweet Friend

Hi friends!

I had a chance to stamp this afternoon and thought I'd play along with some of the St. Patrick's themed challenges that are in blogland right now. :)  I watercolored a little PI gal from MFT and layered her on some of the design elements from MFT's Blueprints 3 set.

I'm playing along with the following challenges...

ChouxChoux Paper Arts - St. Patrick's / Green
TicTacToe Challenge - green / gold / photo inspiration and it also fits with friendship / gold / layers!

And finally, with the Card Concept!

Thanks for dropping by today!!
