Crazy for Sweet Sunday Colors

Isn't it fun when you can combine lots of challenges into one card?  I used the Sweet Sunday Sketch for the layout, the colors from The Color Throwdown, and no patterned paper for Crazy4Challenges.

Somehow - LOL! - the MFT Pretty Poppies set just BEGGED to be used again today. : )  I used Berrylicious (MFT), Summer Sun, Pink Passion (SU), and Steel Blue (MFT) Inks, and some Steel Grey and Razzleberry Cardstock, along with my white.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Blessings!

Today's challenge at Love's Rubber Stamps is to use bows.  I used this pretty Botanical Bookplates set from Flourishes, because it reminds me of warm sunshiney days.  The sentiment is from another Flourishes set - Easter Blessings.  I made the background by layering the Chicken Wire DieNamics and my cardstock between two silicone mats before running it through my Cuttlebug with a B plate.  It was pretty tight, but it turned out SO pretty!

Thanks for letting me play along this month Loves' ladies!! : )

Be sure to stop by the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge blog for more inspiration and the information you'll need to enter this week's challenge!

Loves RubberStamp Challenge - Anything But a Card

Good morning friends!  Today the theme at Love's Rubber Stamp Challenge is Anything But a Card.  I had this adorable little notebook that I had found at a $1 spot, that I decorated with some stamps and dies from My Favorite Things.

I colored the little girl from the Out on a Limb set with Copic markers and cut her out.  For her dress, I first colored it solid pink and then I made some dots with my blender pen.  After they dried, I colored in the white spaces with different colors.  The little butterfly is a die from the Notched Tag DieNamics set, and the sentiment is stamped on a banner from the First Place Award DieNamics set.

You can find all the info on today's challenge on the Love's Rubber Stamp Challenge Blog.  I hope you'll join us!!

Sweet Sunday Sketch - Wishing you Happy

I had so much fun watercoloring my Farmer Girl last night, that I decided to try this little sweetheart today.  I thought that she would be perfect for the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge that closes tomorrow night.  I used the Make a Wish set, the Farm Fence DieNamics, the scallop from the Blueprints 3 DieNamics, and a sentiment from Happy Thoughts.... all from MFT.  Cardstock colors are Orange Fizz, Sour Apple, Whip Cream and Kraft, plus some MME patterned paper and a piece or two of watercolor paper.  Watercoloring was done using Tombow and SU markers.

Thanks for dropping by!

Hay There!

I just realized that I need a Mother's Day card by tomorrow! Eek! One day when Mom and I were talking she mentioned that she was always a tomboy when she was little and loved to be outside. I thought she might like this new little MFT Farmer Girl! :) I used the colors from this weeks Color Throwdown challenge as a jumping off point, and lots of MFT goodies...  Blueprints 1 DieNamics for the stitched layer, Blueprints 3 DieNamics for the little valance, the Graduated Dots Stencil sponged in Kraft Ink on the Whip Cream cardstock, a Leaf Filled Flourish and the little Farmer Girl set!

MFT Project Parade

Hello Again!

It's been such a fun week of previews, and I'm SO excited that the products are all live in the store now so you can get some of them for yourself!!

I have a few more cards to share tonight using products from this release.  Hasn't it been fun?? The first card is dedicated to each of you who have stopped by this week and looked or commented, and especially to Kim and Joanne and Jody and the other DT gals at MFT.  I feel so blessed to have been able to play along as a guest designer for this release!!  Thank you so much!

Now on to the cards!  I just loved the bright cheerful colors in this MME "Sunny" paper pack!  I chose three patterns and layered them with Kraft and Red Hot cardstock.  I cut a fence with the new Farm Fence Die-Namics and then stamped and colored a number of the images from the Pure Innocence Farmer Girl set.  I popped up the pieces to make a little farming scene and then added a sentiment from the Cheerful Blessings set to finish it off.

Card number two is just a simple 3x3 card using - you guessed it! - the Cheerful Blessings set again!  I used the Notched Tag DieNamics and Stamp Set to cut out and stamp my little heart.

And card number three?  A super clean and simple card using the new Chalkboard Greeting set, that tells EXACTLY what I'm doing right now...

Thanks so much for all your sweet comments this week!  I've really enjoyed sharing with you all!

Be sure to check in at the MFT blog for a list of the designers participating tonight!  I know that they will have some fabulous projects to inspire us!!

Blessings!

MFT Teaser Time - Day Seven

Tonight's the night!!  Hasn't it been a spectacular release?  It was hard for me to choose which card to post today and which one to post during the Project Parade tonight, so if you love the Pure Innocence Farmer Girl stamp, be sure to stop back later!  I think the post goes live at 10 PM EST. : )  Right now I have a fun card to show you that my husband just loved.  He enjoys trapshooting and the little target stamps in this Right on Target set by Laina Lamb are just perfect for him!

I used Sour Apple, Orange Fizz and Kraft ink to make my background and then layered it with a number of elements from Blueprints 1 and 3, along with some stamped pieces.  If you look carefully you can see that there is a different type of faux stitching on the larger circle from Blueprints 3 and the smaller circle from Blueprints 1.  I love how it makes them the same but different!!

Thank you SO much for stopping by today!  Be sure to visit all the other DT blogs to be inspired and enabled!! ; )  And remember that all of the new products will be available tonight, Tuesday, May 7th at 10pm Eastern.  Don't forget the release party in the MFT forum on SplitCoast!  It starts at 8pm Eastern and is so much fun.  I hope to see you there!~~ Tricia

MFT Teaser Time - Day Six

Hi everyone!

It's Day Six of our Teasers, can you believe it??  What have been your favorites so far?  I'd love to hear!

I combined a few favorites for my card today!  Blueprints 3 DieNamics, Cheerful Blessings, and the pretty Graduated Dots Stencil...

Doesn't the stencil make a pretty sponged background?  I love how soft it looks and I like the different sized dots.  It's perfect on a larger card like this!  And I love how the felt flower and bow give so much texture to the card without added a huge amount of thickness. For some reason the rounded shape of the Blueprints die made me think of a window, so I watercolored in some orange and yellow ink to give the idea of sunshine.  It matched with the sentiment, too. : )

Thank you SO much for stopping by today!  Be sure to visit each of the DT blogs for more inspiration, and remember that all of the new products will be available this Tuesday, May 7th at 10pm Eastern.  Will you be coming to the release party in the MFT forum on SplitCoast that evening?  It starts at 8pm Eastern and is so much fun.  I hope to see you there!~~ Tricia

MFT Teaser Time - Day Five

Yay, two more of my favorite sets to show you today!!! : )  I think this little Doodle Garden Turtle Girl is just precious.  Don't you just love her smile?  And the sentiment is from Lisa Johnson's new Cheerful Blessings set.  This set is just ME.  I'm pretty sure I hugged it when I saw it in the box.  I love the sentiments and I think I've used them on every card I've made for the rest of the week!

Here's a fun fact for today's card.  The little Tangy Orange dots on the card are actually the "leftovers" from cutting out the Dotted Scallop Border.  Too fun!  It's like having little pearls or brads available in any color!  And I also used one of the new Blueprints 3 elements as well.  Sigh!  I love this release!!! : )

Be sure to hop through all of the DT members' blogs today for tons of amazing inspiration using products from this release, and remember that all of the new products will be available this Tuesday, May 7th at 10 PM EST.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!!

MFT Teaser Time - Day Four

Hi again!

My card today uses this precious Pure Innocence Make a Wish gal that was introduced the other day.  Isn't she just SO sweet?  She's one of my very favorite sets from this release.  Of course, I have multiple very favorite sets from this release, but that's besides the point! : )

I colored my little girl with copics and popped her up on the new Vertical Frame DieNamics.  This is SUCH a cool die! (Do people still say cool??)  Anyway, it cuts both the inside and the outside with one pass, so I ran it through my Cuttlebug twice, once with paper from my MME "Sunny" pack and again with some Whip Cream Cardstock..  Then I just separated and interchanged the pieces.  The Vertical Frame die is pretty tall, so my card grew to accommodate it and measures in at 4.25" x 6.5".  Something I hope to do by the end of the week is to use the Vertical Frame to make some tags or a bookmark -- It has SO many possibilities!

Back to the card...  I made the cloud from the Wonky Scallop Border DieNamics and cut the banner with the First Place Award Ribbon DieNamics set.  A little felt grass and some sparkle on the dandelion fluff and she was all set!

Be sure to visit each of the DT blogs for tons of amazing inspiration using products from this release, and remember that all of the new products will be available starting next Tuesday, May 7th at 10 PM EST.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!!

MFT Teaser Time - Day Three

Hi everyone!

My card today is totally clean and simple!  I love easy, don't you?  And don't you just love all the different fonts for the "hi" and "hello" in this Happy Hellos DieNamics set?  You can make wonderfully quick cards like I did, or they are perfect to add to a scrapbook page!

I cut my "Hello" out of Orange Fizz cardstock using my Cuttlebug.  I don't have a thin metal plate, so I use one of the thin cardboard pieces that the stamps and dies are packaged with on top of my Cuttlebug plate sandwich.  It works great for me!  The feather is cut out of Hot Fudge cardstock using one of the dies from the new Accent It - Feathers and Arrows DieNamics by Laina Lamb.  Doesn't it look like one of those amazing feather pens that D'Arcy would have used in Pride and Prejudice??  Everything is matted on the new Insert It - 3x4 Notepad DieNamics and then onto White and Orange Fizz cardstock. I added a little splatter or two of Orange Fizz for effect, since I couldn't imagine writing with one of those pens without a few splatters, could you? ; )  It's easy to do with an old toothbrush and some ink and it adds character.  Just be sure you don't use your husband's toothbrush... : )

Thanks so much for stopping by today!!  Be sure to hop through all of the DT members' blogs for tons of amazing inspiration using products from this release, and remember that all of the new products will be available starting next Tuesday, May 7th at 10 PM EST.

MFT Teaser Time - Day Two

Hi everyone!  Are you excited about this release yet??  Weren't there some amazing projects yesterday???  So - on to today!  Let's talk cardstock!!  A number of years ago I had to donate all of my cardstock because of some severe allergies in my family.  I had a LOT of cardstock and there was no way I could replace it all, so I was making do with a few pieces here and there from our local craft store.  I've been looking at the MFT cardstock longingly for over a year now, but there were SO many colors to choose from! How could I pick, especially when I couldn't see them in person?  Last release I noticed that I always loved the cards made using Orange Fizz, Kraft and Sour Apple, so when I got to be GDT this month (GASP!  I'm still in shock!) I spent the money I had set aside to shop at the release on cardstock, felt, buttons and twine, all in those colors, and then added an assortment pack of cardstock so I would have lots of options for my release cards.  OH. MY. WORD.  I love this cardstock!!  It's nice and heavy and the colors are gorgeous.  I love coloring and dp as much as the next person, but it was SO fun to just stamp again!   SO.... when I saw the wonderful Mini album Square Scallop STAX in my box of goodies I knew what I had to make...

A Cardstock Sampler Ring!!

I started with kraft cardstock for my covers since it is a neutral, and then used my Uppercase By the Letters DieNamics to cut out the letters MFT from Orange Fizz, Whip Cream and Sour Apple Cardstock.  I embossed the top cover with a Swiss Dots folder, but the letters looked too plain, so I stamped the M and T with designs from the Notched Tag Sentiments set.  The little dot and grid pattern stamps are the PERFECT size to dress up your letters!  I added some faux stitching to the F to make it stand out a little more and  then dressed up the corner with a flag cut with my Fishtail Flag Layers DieNamics and a kraft button tied with hemp cord.  Then came the fun part of cutting out a piece of each color cardstock from the assortment pack using the smallest of the the Mini Album STAX.

Isn't it a pretty rainbow of colors??  I don't have the new colors that aren't in the assortment pack yet.  Those are on my list next when I order some more of my favorites.  Tangy Orange is definitely on my favorites list, along with Hot Fudge and Wild Cherry, and, and, and.... :)

After I cut out all my pieces, I used the "Sweet" image from the Chocolate Sentiments set to stamp each color with the coordinating ink, if I had it, then I wrote in the names, punched holes with my cropadile and added a huge eyelet to give the cover a little more stability.  Here's a few views of the inside...

LOL... Notice the Orange Fizz one??  I punched the hole in the wrong corner, so it's backwards in my pile.  : )

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Be sure to visit each of the DT blogs for more inspiration.  There is SO much to see and we've only just begun!!!  : )

MFT Sketch Challenge - Friends

Yay!  It's Wednesday Sketch Challenge Time!!

My card for this week's Wednesday Sketch Challenge uses a gorgeous new set by Mona Pendleton called Dandelion Wishes as the main image and a sentiment from Lisa Johnson's set Cheerful Blessings, both of which will be released next Tuesday!  If you look carefully you can see that I embossed the dandelion fluff onto the Whip Cream cardstock as well as onto the kraft.  And then I knocked over the bottle... all over my craft table.  SIGH!  But I digress.  This card looks super soft and lacy in real life!  Here's a close up...

Be sure to stop over at the MFT blog to see the DT's fabulous cards. There is always TONS of inspiration!!! Don't forget that there is a chance for a weekly prize, valued at up to $20 in vouchers to the MFT Boutique.
