Autumn Trust

I made a quick card last night, just for fun. It seems that I don't have much time to stamp many cards that aren't design team work. I think I might have to change that! This card was made for one of the challenges on Stamp TV for those of us who weren't able to go to CHA. The challenge was to use an image or sentiment upside down or on its side. I chose to use the pumpkin from GKD Whimsical Autumn and the verse from Flowers for Daisy, and I followed the sketch from CardPositioning Systems. The pumpkin is colored with Copics and popped up but other than that, it's pretty straightforward!

Thanks for stopping by. I hope that you have a lovely weekend!

Introducing: Scripture Occasions

Day two of Clear Dollar Sneak Peeks!!! And my *favorite* set from this release!! A lot of you know that I make a number of cards for my GraceWorks ladies. They can earn them as prizes, pick them as birthday presents, or receive them as a special hello. I really like to use Scripture on these cards, so I'm constantly on the lookout for sets with beautiful verses, and the new Scripture Occasions set that CDS is releasing on the first is perfect!

For my first card, I stamped the flower from All the Best in white ink on some CDS Tropical Mist cardstock. The verse is inked up with SU Soft Suede ink and a Teal Marker, and the ribbon is some Raging River satin ribbon from the Clearly Coordinating Collection. Very clean and simple!

For my second card I stamped the vine and flower from the Heartfelt Sentiments set in versamark ink and added color with my pastels. Some simple embossing and embellishments complete this card. I just love clean and simple!!

So, what do you think? I know that there are lots of other sets being previewed today, so be sure to hop around and leave some comments. We all like comments! :-)

Today's designers...
Lori / Candy, Katie, Lisa, Gloria

Have a lovely day!

Introducing: Autumn Critters

Hello! And welcome to my first day of Clear Dollar Stamps sneak peeks!! I have an adorable set to preview today called Autumn Critters. Isn't the owl adorable??? I colored him with copics (of course) and cut him out with a Labels 8 due, leaving the leaves hanging out. Then I paper pieced the leaves and popped some of them up for a little more dimension. I had so much fun pulling out my crimper. It's been lonely!

For my second card I used my pastels to make the sunset. I love pulling out some of my older tools now and again. I hate to have spent all that month and then not use what I have!! My pumpkins were colored with copics again. You know, I have to use my *new* tools, too!! ;-)

Here's a list of all the designers who have previews today. There are four different sets being shown, so maybe you'll want to go on a mini blog hop! :-) Then be sure to come back tomorrow for my favorite set from this release!

What a Hoot:
CDS Set Used: Autumn Critters

Sweet 'n Sassy Christmas!

Hello friends! We had so much fun at the DT Chat Night! One of our challenges tonight is to make a Christmas card with non-traditional colors, so I inked up the adorable newly released clear set, O Christmas Tree, and followed Tuesday Morning Sketches sketch #10, to make a blue and brown card. Merry Christmas!! LOL!!

Violet Cupcake

Here's another card with the $1 stamp from Clear Dollar, combined with Ellen Lockhart's sweet Violet Cupcake. This is another of my favorite stamps to color. Next week my goal is to actually *send* a number of cards out!!! Plus there are Clear Dollar Sneak Peeks at the end of the week and some Sweet & Sassy new releases to play with. See you then!

More Pansies

Today's pansy card is *so* simple! I used eyelets again, and my old deckle scissors from SU, along with the SU pansy stamp, and the pretty "Pray without Ceasing" $1 stamp from Clear Dollar.

Don't you love cards that are quick, and lovely, too!!

Tuesday Morning

Good Morning!!

I have a card to share with you today that uses the new Smell the Flowers clear set from Sweet and Sassy. It's also available as a digi, which is nice if you like smaller flowers... :-) I'm enjoying participating in the Tuesday Morning Sketches this month, so I chose sketch #5 as my jumping off point. The spin for this week was to use something that reminded me of summer. Actually my favorite part of summer is late summer, when it's just heading into fall. I love the flowers, the colors, and the look forward to fall and winter.

I hope you're having a blessed week!

Thanks for stopping by!

Something Pretty

Happy Monday!

I'm going to share some card this week that I made awhile back for some of my GraceWorks ladies. I love this Pansy stamp by Stampin Up. It colors *so* pretty. The verse is one of the first stamps I ever got. I picked it up at my LSS over 10 years ago. :-) Paper is Basic Grey Wisteria.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy, Happy Birthday!!

Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday, dear Lori,
Happy birthday to you!!!
... and many more...

That's right! It's a birthday party blog hop today for Lori, the owner of Clear Dollar Stamps!! We gals on the design team wanted to tell Lori just how much we appreciate her, so we've set up a birthday party blog hop on the sly. :-) I'll link all of us that are participating at the end of the post, or you can start at the beginning here.

I really feel blessed to work with Lori and the entire Clear Dollar team. What a special group of gals they are! I love the philosophy that Lori has, making this wonderful craft of ours affordable by offering high quality products at really low prices, and always seeking to please the Lord in all that she does. The new things that she comes out with are always aimed to give us *more* for our crafting dollars... like the wonderful stamps, the Clearly Coordinating Collection, the card kits and ministry card kits, and the new paper kit. And... to top it off... Lori is down to earth and sweet as well. I am SO blessed to work with her!!!

For Lori's birthday card, I used a few of my FAVORITE Clear Dollar sets that I don't get to play with too often, since they are past Stamps of the Month "Moose" and "Silhouette Wishes". The moose has been put into digital format now, though, so he is still available. :-) After coloring the moose, I cut my image out with an oval nesties and then I stamped the little flowers with versamark ink and used pastels to color them. All of the papers are from the *wonderful* Clearly Coordinating Collection, and the frame and ribbon are from my stash.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LORI!!!! Have a blessed day!!!!

And for the rest of you... don't forget to drop by the other blogs and leave some love and birthday wishes!!

Precious Baby

Hello, hello!

**I have two posts today, so be sure to scroll down to see one of the newest CDS digis!!**

My card today features the new clear set Precious Baby from Sweet 'n Sassy. Isn't it adorable?? It's easy to color, too, and it's a little larger, so you don't have to add much to make your card complete. Which was a good thing this morning, cuz I got a little mixed up and forgot that I needed to post a card on the SNSS digi blog this morning, so I had to make this *fast*!!!! LOL!

I picked out my sketch first - from Our Creative Corner - because it looked like it would fit the image. I pulled my colors from the opposite side of the designer paper and colored with copics. Then I used a number of different colors of paper from the Clear Dollar Clearly Coordinating Collection - which I love because it's lightweight, so even though I have a gob of layers, my card doesn't weigh a ton! I added some embossing to the green layer, a polka dot ribbon, a flower stack and a matted sentiment and VOILA! All done. :-)

Thanks so much for stopping by. Your sweet comments make my day!

Blessings!

New Digis!

CDS Digital Set Used: Turtle Greetings
Paper: CDS Worn Parchment, Turquoise Gem, Bubble Gum, Lime Juice
Copics: 0, E34, E31, E55, BG10, B02, B05, RV13, RV34, YG03, YG11, YG23
Tools: Sewing Machine, PopDots, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Folder

I have a card today made with a new digital release from Clear Dollar Stamps called Turtle Greetings. I think this little turtle is adorable and he comes in lots of great poses, with a number of sentiments to choose from. After I printed my turtle out, I colored him with copics and then (tried) to follow this week's sketch from Card Positioning Systems. I printed out my sentiment a little large, but I was too lazy... err... busy to reprint it smaller, so I made it into a tag and stapled it to my focal image. I used my sewing machine to stitch around the edge of the card and added a little faux stitching to the tag.

Be *sure* to hop over to Lori's blog to check out the new sets, and then do a little blog surfing to see the other designers' work with the digis being released today. I hear that there is even a "free with purchase" set available!!

Here's the list...

Sarah * Linda * Vicki * Laurie * Cassie * Lisa * Trudy * and Me! :-)

Thanks for stopping by today!

Triple Challenge

Today is a just for fun card for a few challenges...

First, we have the Happy Monday Sketch by Deedee's Digis.
Then, I used stitching (lots and lots) to qualify for the Tuesday Throwdown.
And, finally, I used (for the most part) the colors from Color Throwdown. I added a little brown in there... but brown is just a darker kraft, right??? :-)

The image & sentiment are from DeeDee's Digis, and the rest of the card is from my stash... :-)

Blessings!

Bath Time

Hi friends!

I had so much fun with this card! I used the sweet Baby Love set from Paper Garden Projects and paper pieced the tub, then I drew in the little rug underneath. I used the Quilt background stamp for the pink layer. (I *love* this stamp! Doesn't it look like designer paper??) I was following the Tuesday Morning sketch #44 for the layout, so I added some "bubbles" to fit the sketch. I wish you could see it in real life. The colors are so much more vibrant than they are showing up on my screen!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Blessings!

Wedding Mojo

I have a nephew getting married later this month, and I wanted to make he and his new wife a wedding card with this beautiful "Wedding Day" clear set by Sweet 'n Sassy that will be coming out later this month. I used this week's Mojo Monday sketch for the layout and pulled out some vintage lace that I found while I was cleaning. The lovely black and cream designer paper is actually cream cardstock stamped with a gorgeous background stamp called "Quilt" that I got from Paper Garden. I love it! I've missed using background stamps!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Birthday Flowers

I used one of my favorite digis for today's card - Flowers From Cocoa - and combined it with a sentiment from the clear set - Poppies and Greetings - also one of my favorites!

After coloring my image with copics, following the Color Throwdown (#100!!) for this week, I used this week's Papertake Weekly (#44) sketch to put my card together. Thanks so much for stopping by! :-)

BTW... there's no paper piecing on the card, just marker magic! ;-)

Tuesday Morning (or Evening!) Sketch

Hello friends! I've just finished making my first card in my new little stamping area. Ahhhh!! I spent the end of last week working like a little beaver to move my office and stamping desk into separate areas of our basement. And I just love it down here! Granted it may be a little (or a LOT) chilly during the winter, but hopefully a little space heater will help that. :-)

My card todays uses an old sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches (#3). They're celebrating their birthday this month and it looks like there are lots of prizes up for grabs. How fun!! I used the Baby Love and TagLines sets that I got from Paper Garden Projects, along with some dp from an older Debbie Mumm mat pack that I found again when I was moving rooms. ;-)

Thanks for dropping by! I saw a few more challenges that I would like to play in this week. We'll see how many I get done! :-)

Pretty Purple Flowers

Laurie from Doodle Pantry has done it again, and is releasing some beautiful new digis to coincide with her Clearly Delightful Monthly Blog Challenge! For my card today, I used the new "Pasque Flower" set, and a verse from the "A Loving God" Scripture set. Don't you just love Laurie's work???

Here's today's funny. I got this card all done and realized that I hadn't followed the challenge, which was to use pearls, bling and/or buttons!! AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!! So... here's my updated card. I really didn't change much except to add a line of pearls above the sentiment and put some stickles in the center of the flower. Which one do you like better???

I hope you'll stop by Laurie's blog and join us for the challenge this month!! It's fun to get free digis!! :-)

Blessings!

Thankful for You

Hello friends!

Today is challenge day over on the Clearly iStamp blog, and the theme is "Thanks". I used the Mojo Monday sketch as my jumping off point and pulled out an older stamp set (Home is Where the Hearth Is) and a single stamp (Teeny Stegosaurus Clear Acrylic Stamp) to play with.

I never know how much info people are looking for when they're blog hopping, so be sure to let me know if you ever have a question. For the most part I think we all just look at the pictures... :-)

Oh! I did use another set - Dino-Mite - for the footprints. And the cute little bone charm is from Clear Dollar as well. :-)

Thanks so much for stopping by, and for leaving sweet comments. I'm sorry I haven't visited much lately. I'm ready for winter again, cuz this summer has been SO busy!!

Patriotic Cocoa

I colored the new Patriotic Cocoa digi from Sweet 'n Sassy for today's digi day challenge over on SNR. I even got to use my new "Seeing Spots" Cuttlebug folder. I think it will definitely be one of my "go to" embossing folders. I love the look! Cocoa's head is popped up because I had my copics refilled this morning and when I opened one of them to color his head it dripped. Too funny! He looked like he had a very deep tan... eyes, ears, nose - everywhere!! LOL!!

Thanks for stopping in!

Blessings!
