My Favorite Things Card

My sweet little Tilda ATC doesn't use any designer paper, (no, her dress isn't paper pieced! LOL) but I'm afraid I couldn't keep it off of the card itself.   It just begged to be used!  I call this my favorite things card, because it uses one of my favorite Tilda's, my favorite spring colors, my favorite set from PTI - Mixed Messages, my favorite swirl, prima daisies, copics, my white gel pen and sparkly brads.  What's not to love!

Thanks for stopping by, and be sure to check out the Tilda & Friends and CPS challenges!!

Pansy Scriptures

I haven't pulled out my pansies in a year or more, and I don't know why because I just love them. So today, for the color challenge on SplitCoast and the Mojo Monday sketch, I decided to use them to frame one of the Verve Plain Jane scripture verses. I stamped some of the pansies on watercolor paper to make a background and sponged in some Saffron and Apricot ink. Then I stamped a few more pansies on SU Winter White cardstock and cut them out to make my little flower garden. The yellow in the center of the flowers is Copic Y21.

Here's a picture of the entire card...

Tilda ATC & Card

I made this ATC for the Tilda and Friends guest designer challenge to use 1 button (on the flowers), 2 bows, and 3 flowers (all in a stack!).  Tilda's colored with my copics and highlighted with a white gel pen.  I decided to make her into a card, and used a sentiment from The Angel Company that I've had for such a long time, but hadn't seen ink yet.  Isn't it elegant??

A new Tilda & Friends challenge goes up tomorrow.  I hope you'll play along if you have a chance.  You can use any "cute" stamps, and ATC's are so fun and quick and make great card "starters".  Have a wonderful day! :)

Mean Mousey

From a sweet mousey yesterday to a mean mousey today.  Can you see the tack??  It makes me giggle everytime I see it!! :)  The image is House Mouse and is for the House Mouse color challenge to use Olive, Coral, and Navy.  I think I'm getting it in right under the wire.

One More!

This is the last one today, I promise!   I've had so much fun playing in my stamping corner today!  I know I should have saved some of them to blog during the week, but so many of them are for challenges that I decided to just keep uploading. :)

This card uses the sketch for the Whimsy Guest Designer call that I found on Denise's blog.   I just love the little Penny Black mousey with the SU Brocade paper.  I colored with my Prismas and OMS and used some Antique Linen distress ink to soften the image.

Thanks for stopping by again!  Oh, and you have a day or two if you'd like to get in on the Whimsy challenge!

Blessings!

Sweet Magnolia

There's a challenge over at the PCP KL Stampin & Scrappin Girls group to make a Magnolia card using at least one Magnolia and a heart.  I colored this sweet Tilda in her heart jumper with Copics, sat her on a bow and freehanded a heart for the corner.  The sentiment is a TAC single stamp that I just loved, but haven't used until now!

I wish I could show you the colors in real life.  It's so bright and pretty and sweet and sparkly.  I'm afraid that I like this one too much to send it away.  Maybe I'll give it to one of my dd's for Valentine's Day! :)

Baby Dragon Sketch

My dear friend, Jo, sent me a package of wonderful images to play with, including this baby dragon from High Hopes.  Isn't he just the sweetest??  I used the sketch from this week's challenge over on the Friday Sketchers blog... with a little tweaking. :)

The dragon is colored with Prismas and OMS, the ribbon and scrappers floss are from TAC and the BG paper and cardstock is from my SCS Winter Card Kit.  Sentiment is from the PTI Holiday Treats set.

Feeling Blue

Well, I succeeded in messing up the snowman that came with this particular kit, so I had to steal an image from the one kit I have left. :)  I distressed my blue/grey bazzill paper with a white palette ink pad and stamped it with little snowflakes.  I added some faux white stitching and drew in some dots, and cut my snowman out in a circle, with his hat hanging over the edge. There are, of course, lots of stickles as well!!  Nothing too out of the ordinary!

I have one more card kit to do, but it may wait for a day or two, since I really want to work on some current challenges.  See you soon, I hope!

Blessings,

Snowman Sweetness

This card was just a joy to put together.  The designer paper was beautiful (Basic Grey, I think), the ribbon was luscious and the embellishments were fabulous.  I loved coloring the Rachelle Anne Miller Snowman, too!

I made the bow by making a loop of ribbon and then used the pearl brad tongs to hold it in the bow shape.  Isn't that pretty??  I don't know where I saw that first, but it's such a pretty look!

Be sure to click on the picture for a closer look and come back tomorrow for more snowman fun!

Just Celebrate Snowmen

ETA... I hit publish too quick!  This one wasn't supposed to go live until Friday.  Junk!  Well, don't miss the first post of today. :)  This just means I need to get stamping!! :)

The next two cards use a snowman from the Stampin' Up set Just Celebrate.  This snowman is cut out, because I had him all done and cut with my nesties and embossed and glittered and thought, "Hmmm, I'd like some blue sponged around the edges."  Not intelligent.  The sponge smeared the glitter and it was *awful*!  So.... I cut him out, popped him up and added a snowflake and some words and I actually like him more than the other one that I was trying to copy! :)   Just a few more snowmen to go!  We'll see if I get bored and make something else before I finish them.  Actually I think I may go join another card kit swap!!

Snowman Love!

I can't believe that it took me this long to be willing to get my desk messed up!! LOL!!  But yesterday I got my snowman card kits in the mail and I just *had* to play!!  I used the Mojo Monday sketch for my first card and just love the finished project!  (If I do say so myself!)

I stamped with white craft ink on the blue dp, using my SU Season of Joy set.  I love the swirl in that set!!  Then I swiped the ink pad along the edge and added lots of stitching with my white gel pen.  I even got out my punches and my corrugater!  I even.... drumroll please.... decorated the inside of the card with a strip of cardstock as well.

More snowpeople to come this week.  I'm going to schedule posts so you'll have something to look at for the next few days. :)

Blessings!

Here's What I've Been Up To!!

For three *entire* days I have been fighting with my crafting space/office/bedroom.  That's a shot from the "I'm going through every scrap of paper that I own" phase.  I tossed 3 or 4 garbage bags full of junk, packed a box of scraps to send to a friend, have a bag of rummage sale stuff and *finally* have a room I think I can work with... if I can remember where I put everything!  {smile}

Here's the "after" shot.  It makes me happy. :)  Hopefully I'll get to create something tomorrow.  Stay tuned!!

Mojo Riley

I colored Riley the other night when I had a blazing headache... I wanted to be him. All tucked into my pjs and loving up my teddy bear. When I saw the Mojo Monday sketch for this week I decided to use it to help me "think out of the box" on the layout. I have such a hard time using buttons and there are a number of them in my SCS Flybaby Winter Craft Kit - that and fibers which I also have a mental block with!! :)

So here you are. I'm still fighting with the colors of my pictures. I may just give up on iphoto and go back to my desktop to edit them. Sigh. It's *so* much warmer upstairs on my laptop than downstairs where the other computer is!!

I hope you have a wonderful evening and stay warm if you're in my neck of the woods. I need to go out in a few minutes and just dread it!!!

Blessings!

CPS98 from my Tilda ATC

The challenge for Tilda & Friends this week was to make an ATC with some of the new things you got over the holidays.  I used my Copics and Nestabilities and a little Tilda image from a friend.  Then, I used the CPS 98 sketch and made the ATC into a card.  Now I have to clean up my stamping desk.  I've been having way too much fun this week!!! :)

Beautiful Girl

I wanted this beautiful little Tilda to be the main focus of this card, so I kept it very simple.  Just a sweet verse and some sparkly brads, along with the pretty K & Co designer paper.

Isn't she a dear??

Thanks for dropping by!  We're expecting snow tonight and tomorrow. :)  I love stamping when it's snowing!!

Magnolia Trust

I've challenged myself to make a number of cards this week, and Verve's Looking For Love Challenges look like a good place to start.  The challenge for today was to use Red, Blush and Kraft on your card.  I started with a Magnolia image that I'd been given and colored her with Copics.  The background paper is from Basic Grey and worked perfectly for the "Blush" color.  I even got to use my Sew Mini!! :)  The Plain Jane verse is cut out with a classic rectangle nestibility and then sponged with Rose, Real Red and Blush and finally stamped with caramel, using my Canvas background stamp.  (I stamped the BG paper, too... it gives it a vintage look that's so pretty!)  The ribbon is vanilla taffeta from SU and the pearls are from Michaels.

I really, really like how it turned out.... I think perhaps I'll give it to my dh to give me for Valentine's Day. LOL!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Verve Verse

Two posts in one day... Wow! :)  But, I made this card for the Verve challenge and knew I'd forget it if I didn't post it right now.  The beautiful verse is a Verve Plain Jane stamp that a dear friend stamped for me and the heart in the center is punched from a page of accents that I got in one of my Secret Santa boxes.  Everything else is from my SCS FlyBaby Winter Kit.  This was such a wonderful sketch and came together very quickly.  You can check it out here.

I love these sweet verses that Verve has out.  They're beautiful and affordable, too!  I can't wait to get some of my very own!!

Whipper Snapper Get Well

Isn't he just the sweetest???  I sent this card to a dear friend who needed some cheering up.  It was fun to use my nesties and my winter card kit.  The saying is from the PTI set Mixed Messages, which I'm going to *love* using.

There are a lot of great ideas going around blogland today.  Birthday/Anniversary reminders, resolutions, reminders to scrapbook...  Lots of inspiration.  Lots of thinking.  Lots of sharing.  What a sweet group papercrafters are.

Be blessed!
